A new home for what is sacred

Every sacred object
deserves to be cherished.

We gather relics, sacred art and religious objects and guide them towards people and institutions able to respect, preserve and honour them over time.

Why we exist

Not merely objects.
Witnesses to faith and memory.

When a church closes, a religious community dissolves or a family can no longer care for what it has inherited, part of its history is at risk of being lost.

Custodia Sacra is an Italian organisation created to preserve relics, reliquaries, sacred art and devotional objects. We receive them from private individuals, parishes, dioceses, religious institutions and decommissioned or financially distressed places of worship, seeking a new home appropriate to their nature.

We do not merely facilitate a transfer of ownership: we act as responsible custodians and intermediaries, with discretion, careful documentation and respect for the spiritual, historical and artistic value of every object.

A worthy new custodian.

A wall-mounted holy-water font and reliquary à paperoles, dated approximately 1780–1830 and distinguished by dozens of antique, non-cultured saltwater pearls, has entered a respected private institutional collection dedicated to this rare devotional technique.
